Kevin at Debt Eye shared some simple ideas for getting rid of debt in a few different ways, and some of the misconceptions we have that result in debt.

Justin at Money is the Root explained to beware of automating your finances for everything.  Justin automates some of his accounts, but purposely does not for others.

J.D. at Get Rich Slowly wrote about how he spends money with some great links to other helpful advice he’s shared in the past.

Dave at Money in the 20s taught me something new with buying a used car from your employer, something that I never considered to be a good deal before.

Kevin at Debt Eye gave many suggestions about spending wisely on electronics, vacations, and more.

Andrea at So Over Debt wrote about the two ways to get out of debt (and there really only are two). While spending less often seems like the most practical option, at some point you also need to work towards making more.

J.D. at Get Rich Slowly wrote a great post on how he makes money. J.D. put all theory aside by recapping many different ways he’s increased his cash flow in the past.

Kevin at Thousandaire hosted the Total Money Blog Carnival this week. Kevin added an interesting twist to the carnival with inspiration from the narrowly-avoided government shutdown.
